Transforming lives: Our journey begins here

Welcome to Crime Does Not Pay International. Our core belief is that human transformation is possible, even in the most challenging environments. We are more than just a program; we are a real model for crime prevention, rooted in education, responsible decision-making, and the development of peace leaders. Our purpose is to show individuals and communities that violence is not an unavoidable destiny. With guidance, education, and opportunities, anyone can change their path and become an agent of positive transformation. Join us in building a future of peace and hope.

Our unique story: From experience to transformation

What makes Crime Does Not Pay International truly unique is its origin. It doesn't stem from abstract theories but from a real-life experience within one of the most challenging environments: the penitentiary system. This model was built from lived experience, deep reflection, and human transformation, born in the violent Medellín prisons of the 80s and 90s, leading to Bellavista, Latin America's first Nonviolent Center. Its value lies in its direct connection to people's realities, especially young individuals, addressing decision-making from a human, conscious, and responsible perspective.

Beyond prevention: Cultivating peace leaders

Our project doesn't just aim to prevent crime; it seeks to mold leaders capable of positively influencing their communities. Our methodology is adaptable to diverse social, educational, and institutional contexts, allowing its impact to transcend borders and cultures. We believe in fostering a culture of peace through practical tools that help individuals understand the consequences of their choices and opt for more responsible and constructive paths. This adaptability is key to creating lasting change across various societies.

Who benefits: Empowering individuals and communities

The primary beneficiaries of Crime Does Not Pay International are young people, especially those in vulnerable contexts or at risk of making choices that could jeopardize their future. We also serve educational institutions, social organizations, rehabilitation centers, community leaders, and government entities committed to crime prevention and strengthening a culture of peace. Our program addresses a fundamental issue: the lack of guidance in decision-making and the normalization of violence in various social settings, providing tools for reflection and leadership development.

"Crime Does Not Pay International provided invaluable guidance during a critical time in my life. Their approach to responsible decision-making truly changed my perspective and empowered me to choose a better path."
